What We Stand For

Learn about our mission, vision, and values:

Why?

Teens and youth deal with tough stuff and they need support! Let's be real, life brings many challenges, especially for youth, who are developing their sense of self and their relationships with others. We know people need this information no matter what age they are, so the focus on youth is to be able to develop healthy behaviors, habits, perspectives, and lifestyles earlier, which exponentially impacts the trajectory of their lives and the ripple effect of all of those who are touched by them. BTrue2U provides support to help youth develop foundational skills in coping, stabilizing, and communication, as well as educates them about their brain and body reactions, and helps them build resilience through a primary prevention and trauma informed lens. We also know that this type of social and emotional education is just as important as the type they get in school but is rarely taught there!

How?

BTrue2U provides consultation, training, presentations, programs, curricula, and social media feeds that build social, emotional, behavioral, mental and physical wellness, by elevating youth to navigate, lead, educate, and empower themselves and others. We encourage youth to take action in their lives to improve their own life and the lives of others as well.

Philosophy

Roots of Prevention

At BTrue2U, we understand that people need support in the relationships that they have with themselves and others. To prevent violence, we must not focus on the violence but the solution to it.

We believe that:

  • focusing on health and wellness both mentally and physically

  • having a healthy relationship with self

  • and building skills for relationships with others

are key components that people are not typically taught. We can overcome and prevent violence and trauma through health and wellness practices, building meaningful connections, and empowering self and others to live authentically. There is so much that impacts youth and teens, so strengthening their identity, confidence, social emotional skills, and adopting healthy mindsets that are growth and strength-based can help youth not only survive but thrive to realize their full potential.
